Raso is a singer, songwriter, poet, playwright and long-term practitioner and teacher of Aikido. She is a lifelong wanderer of nature’s wild places and is committed to the bright way of meditation. Her music is an offering of the heart toward the healing of our human and planetary communities. She lives on forested land outside Missoula, Montana.
“The songs on this CD are the outflow of my life in Aikido, the profound martial art of harmony, and meditation, broken open and illuminated by the mystic Osho. They flow from a love of wild earth and the wisdom hidden in its generosity and its severity. The music was catalyzed as well by immersion in Emilie Conrad’s fluid-based Continuum, with its opening to myriad currents.
“My life as a singer started early and has spanned many genres, from classical recitals to stage music to rock & roll to music to enhance and express meditation. A few years ago I began to write songs, and bringing them forth has been fiery, exciting and rich. I hope this music can help us attune to intrinsic, nourishing beauty, and to move lightly over rocky ground.”
